Driver’s licences
All licences expiring within 180 days are considered renewals. The new licence will still be valid for five years from your upcoming birthday.

Knowledge tests & Learner’s licences
To renew a learner’s licence you must also re-take the knowledge test.

For all other learner licences, a secondary paper licence is issued. There are no additional fees for this paper licence after qualifying on the applicable knowledge test.
Enhanced driver’s licence (EDL) and Enhanced ID (EIC)
Enhanced driver licence (EDL)
With EDLs you pay for your driver’s licence plus an additional enhanced fee. Additional fees may apply in some circumstances.

There is a $25 road test cancellation fee if you do not cancel any booked road test within 48 hours.
