Maureen Howe

Maureen Howe is a former Managing Director of Equity Research with RBC Capital Markets, where she worked for over 10 years. Previously, she served as Treasurer, BC Gas Inc., and was an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

In the community, she is a Board Member of TimberWest Forest Corp., a Board Member of Veresen Inc., a Board Member of the UBC Investment Management Trust, a Board Member of the Canadian Securities Institute Foundation, and Chair of the Phillips, Hager & North Centre for Financial Research UBC.

In the past, Ms. Howe served as a member of the UBC Board of Governors, a member of YWCA Board of Directors, a member of the UBC Dean of Commerce Faculty Advisory Board, a member of the Financial Institutions Commission Board of Directors, a member and Deputy Chair of the Credit Union Deposit Corporation of BC Board of Directors, and a Trustee with the BC Health Care Benefit Trust.

She holds her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba and her PhD in Finance from UBC.
